Visitors from Socal
Last night, my godson Mad Max and my niece Princess Raina came into SF to have dinner and spend some quality time with Nihal and I. The kids even brought their parents, Seema and Richard (my brother from another mother) along to share in the festivities. It was great. We met in North Beach at Viva and spent almost 4 hours eating and catching up. Three other friends joined us, but they just couldn’t hang with the party animals that are Max and Raina, so the skipped out before the real fun began. I’ve known Max and Raina since they were about 18 inches long. Even though they live down in Manhattan Beach, I haven’t seen them over over a year. Every proud uncle (or aunt) says that his particular niece(s) and nephew(s) are the best, but in this case it’s actually true – Max and Raina are absolutely the best. The continue to exceed the boundless, intelligence, energy and promise that that they’ve shown since they were babies. And they’re polite to boot. I must be doing one hell of job as godfather/uncle. Although to be fair, I should probably kick some credit to Seema and Richard!!
