Virgin Store is closing in NYC
I don’t own an Ipod, not out of reason for principle. i actually was given one about four years ago. It never worked and the replacement never worked, so I simply never bothered to try the brand again. I keep with my trusty Creative Zen Jukebox (or whatever it’s called). I resembles a tricorder from Star Trek
I’ve been an active mp3 user for about 7 years, but I still have cds and I miss purchasing music in “real world” stores. Maybe I liked hearing new music as I wandered in the store. I think it’s why I’ll always like reading a newspaper in my hands, my eyes wander and my attention is drawn to an article that I might have missed on line. So, I was slightly saddened by the closing of the Virgin Megastore in NYC, I know all about creative destruction, but my gait is a bit slower when I walk past the empty Tower Record store in the Village in NYC. Other Music, across the street manages across the street, manages to return the spring to my step. Here’s the story about Virgin and for a clothing store – UGh
